Mostly, these insurers discount their premiums for Donnellys because we deal with them electronically, saving on administrative costs.
This discount is passed on to you and offsets our broker fee. You get better cover, choice of leading insurers, professional advice and claims assistance.
Financial Strength
There are a number of overseas companies selling insurance in Australia, which may be outside the protection of Australian law in the event of a claim or dispute. We only recommend insurers that have an investment grade rating BBB or above by Standard & Poors insurer financial strength rating guide or an equivalent security rating in a major overseas country that has financial services prudential regulation similar to Australia. We aim to provide you with professionally researched advice about the insurance market so that you can make an informed decision about what product from a reliable and secure insurer provides the Best Value.

Financial Services Legislation (FSRA)
Financial product advisers, including general insurance intermediaries, must hold appropriate qualifications and be appropriately licensed to be allowed to advise clients.
Our advisers have achieved accreditation under the ASIC licensing requirements enabling us to advise on both business and personal general insurance products.
Errors or Omissions Protection
For the added protection of Donnellys clients, we have arranged Professional Indemnity Insurance coverage for a maximum claim of $20 million in case we make a mistake in arranging your insurance which causes you a financial loss.
Brokers Code of Practice
Donnellys is a member of the National Insurance Brokers Association and we commit to the NIBA code of practice. This code is intended to establish standards of good business practice and service for members in dealings with their clients.
Dispute Resolution
We have an Internal Dispute Resolution System within Donnellys to handle any client complaints about our service to them. Our IDR manager has a commitmrnt to respond in writing to any complaint.
If a client is not satisfied with our response to a written complaint, they are entitled refer the complaint to the Insurance Brokers Disputes Ltd organisation of which Donnellys is a member, for resolution.
