Donnellys IBNA Connection

The Insurance Brokers Network of Australia (IBNA) marketing group which represents around 80 independently owned insurance broking companies nationally has developed a range of business and personal superior policies exclusively for the clients of its member brokers. Key Team Members

Donnellys’ principal, Mike Donnelly, was a national board director of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) for 15 years and on completion of his final term in 2008 he was recognised by NIBA with a Certificate of Commendation acknowledging his valued contribution and commitment to the betterment of the insurance broking profession.

Mike was also recognised by NIBA in 1994 as SA Qualified Practising Insurance Broker of the year and more recently in 2005 with the prestigious Lex McKeown trophy awarded to him for his professionalism and service to the broking profession.

Prior to his national board appointment, Mike was a SA NIBA committee member for 8 years including 3 years as chair of that committee.

Chris Donnelly, Mike’s son, has been an integral part of the business since 2003 after successfully completing his Bachelor of Business tertiary degree with a double major in Marketing and International Business.

Chris has since attained his Diploma of Financial Services (Ins Broking) and is currently studying for his Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Ins Broking). Meet Chris in a recent article published in Young Professional

Andrew Dunn has a tertiary degree in Economics at Adelaide University and has over 10 years broking experience servicing clients.

Suzanne Van Pelt, commenced her insurance career in 1993. She moved in 1998 to international Broker, Marsh Pty Ltd in their Speciality Services Division as an Account Executive, acquiring extensive knowledge in Commercial Business. After having a family, Suzanne returned to the workforce in 2006 with Donnelly Insurance Brokers and now leads our Commercial Renewals Review & Marketing team.

Donnellys is a member of the Australian & NZ Institute of Insurance & Finance. Mike Donnelly is an ANZIIF Certified Insurance Professional (CIP).

Donnellys was invited to become an international member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America Association. This membership of IIABA provides the firm with access to international management best practices and business trends information.
